There are tons of free themes available on the web for WordPress. A quick google search for "WordPress theme" or "WordPress template" should bring back a lot of options. Find the template that best fits your site and download it to your computer.
Here a few links to find some great WordPress themes.
Before you begin you should have:
- A way to unzip files. (Example: Winzip, Winrar or the tool build into windows XP)
- A way to copy your files to -your web server with an FTP client. (Example: Fireftp, filezilla)
Here a few ftp clients in case you don't have one.

http://filezilla-project.org/ - FTP client

You will need to upload the file to your server. In this example I am using an FTP add on for FireFox called FireFTP .
- Connect to your web server using your ftp client
- Browse to your WordPress Directory
- Open the folder wp-content
- Open the themes folder

- Upload your new theme folder to this location
Your theme is now located on the server. We now need to set it as the current theme.
- Navigate to you WordPress site
Click on login (You can also type /wp-admin at the end of your url emaple: http://yoursitename.com/wp-admin)


Login using your username and password that you defined when setting up WordPress
- Click on the Presentation tab
You should now see your theme under Available Themes. If you do not see the new theme then you will need to go back and check to make sure the you put it in the correct directory.
- Click on the new theme to make it your current theme

You will now see your new theme at the top of the page set as Current Theme.

Navigate to your webpage and you should now see that your site has the new cool look that you just applied.
