To open a guitar pro file (.gp5, .gp4, etc) 4You will need to install a program called TuxGuitar. Before we begin you will need to be connected to the Internet and have third-party sources enabled.
Open System > Software Sources
Enter your Password
Click on the Third-Party Software Tab
Make sure you have a check mark next to both sources
Open Applications > Add/Remove Search for Tux Put a Check Mark next to TuxGuitar
And click Apply
It will take a few minutes for the application to install.
To launch the application goto Applications > Sound & Video > Tux Guitar
Once you are in the appli cation just open your guitar Pro File
