Restart Linux with the Command line E-mail

You can shutdown your pc with a simple command in bash. It could come in very handy if you ssh or telnet into a pc.

open up a terminal window

 

restart

 

 To shutdown the PC now you can type in shutdown -r now

 

now

 

If you want the system to shutdown in 1 minute type in shutdown -r 1 

restart

If you want to cancel a shutdown you can use the command shutdown -c
